Ok, I've been wanting to rant about this topic for a LOOONG time.
Alright then. Now, I consider myself a "nerdy" person, I've always sorta been like that. I've been playing Pokemon and Sonic the Hedgehog since I was in kindergarten after all, and it's almost a part of my identity. However, there's been an attention whoring trend swarming both the internet and gaming cultures by publicly
This obnoxious, false sense of pride of being a G4MER GURRL has gotten on my last damn nerve. Sluts, put the fucking camera away, and stop taking pictures of yourself seductively licking an Xbox 360 controller and posting it on Facebook, because nobody gives a damn that you have a vagina and can play CoD.
Why do you need to give yourself a title like that? I'm a girl, and I play video games, but I don't make blogs about it, or even bother to mention my gender when playing Bust Limit. You know why those girls call themselves GUURL GAMURZ? One word: Attention. It makes them feel SPEASHUL, and they know if they post pictures of themselves in their little panties while saying "<3 lol im so nerdy i play CoD and Skyrim <3", they get a few boys encouraging that pathetic, attention whoring behavior. It makes me ashamed to be a girl, really. I don't want to be associated with that trash.
I think the thing that's most obnoxious about this is how ignorant the Gamer Girls all. Most of them only own a 360 and really only play CoD, and HALO. And on top of them, most of them ( not all, but most) aren't very good at the games they play, despite saying they can beat ANY man at any game!!1!one They think they know everything about games and you should respect them, but really, you can't, and you shouldn't. If you want to be respected in the gaming community, be good at the games you play, rather than say you're a SEXXY GIRL G4MR4LIFE.
All I wish is gender equality in playing video games. I'd like to live in a world were people don't judge you based on the fact that you have tits or not, thank-you.
